Radius is a school organisation which identifies and supports local community projects that align with NHP’s core values and meet the key criteria of being education and child focussed.
Priority is given to projects that marry with NHP’s educational vision of academic rigour combined with the innate joy of childhood and are evaluated against their impact on the lives and well-being of the children they support on an educational and/or developmental basis.
Over time the NHP Foundation will work to identify, develop and manage a broad range of community partnerships and new initiatives will be able to apply directly for grants.
Ideally chosen community partnerships should provide volunteering opportunities for pupils, staff and/or parents.
Since Radius was launched in 2020, we have partnered with: Avondale Extra, raising funds to enhance the lives of local primary school children at Avondale Park Primary School alongside a book drive which provided every child in the school with an age appropriate book for Christmas; the K&C Foundation to provide Christmas boxes for our local communities; Young K&C to raise funds for RISE Kids (CIC) Summer Camps – which was subsequently match funded and will now cover further holiday camps; visits from local primary schools to share our resources, such as a recent visit by Oxford Gardens to see some Lunar Samples which were on loan to NHP; and the soon to launch Notting Hill Children’s Community Choir, which will see NHP come together with seven local schools to take part in a weekly choir.
