Parents’ Association

Parents' Association Key Responsibilities

A close relationship between parents, school and the local community is a core principle at NHP

This connection is fostered by a thriving Parents Association, which plays a crucial role in strengthening the sense of belonging and family within the school. Every parent at NHP is automatically a member of the Parents Association, which is made up exclusively of parent volunteers. This organization is structured under an organizing committee with an elected representative for each class, ensuring broad representation and active participation from all parts of the school community.

The Parents Association at NHP has several key responsibilities.

  • One of its primary roles is to conceive and host events that bring parents, staff, and pupils together socially, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.
  • Additionally, the association supports the school’s charity initiatives by fundraising for the NHP Foundation, which enables various projects and activities that benefit the school and the wider community.
  • The Parents Association also acts as a conduit of information, facilitating communication between current and prospective parents on general school matters, ensuring everyone stays informed and engaged.

The organizing committee of the Parents Association meets on average twice per term and is always eager to welcome new members, particularly those with expertise in event organizing and fundraising. This inclusivity ensures that the association continually benefits from fresh ideas and diverse perspectives.
